Bobbi Essers (b. 2000, the Netherlands) is a painter whose work explores friendship, intimacy, memory, and the emotional nuances of human connection. Drawing from personal photographs and lived experiences, she creates atmospheric paintings that transform everyday moments into deeply felt narratives.
Working primarily in oil, Essers captures quiet gestures and fleeting interactions with a sensitivity that blurs the line between observation and recollection. Her paintings often center on themes of vulnerability, belonging, and identity, inviting viewers into contemplative spaces shaped by tenderness and emotional resonance.
After completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts at De HKU in Utrecht and her Master’s degree in Painting at the Frank Mohr Institute in Groningen, Essers has exhibited internationally, earning recognition for her distinctive and nuanced approach to contemporary figurative painting.
